Cordoba
~The Moors tried to change the previous state of Spain, and they were successful.

~One difference from the Renaissance in Europe and the Renaissance with the Moors,
is the lack of paintings.  In Islam, it is prohibited to to draw faces of people.  This is
denied because when one draws a face, it is like they are copying God by creating
something that only God should have the right to create.  So it is forbidden. Another
difference, is in the Moorish civilization, there was not secularization that came out of
the Renaissance as there was in Europe.  As a result, there is more focus toward architecture.

~Abdul Al-Rahman I is the king and he decides to make Cordoba the capital of Spain. In Cordoba
there is a famous castle, called the Palace of Viana.
